Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and grow BC/Yukon environmental noise services by developing a growth plan, identifying priority clients and sectors, and aligning technical resources.
  • •Build client relationships and win repeat work by identifying needs, preparing scopes/fees, and leading proposals.
  • •Lead environmental noise assessments, including baseline monitoring, source characterization, predictive modelling, receptor impact assessment, and evaluating mitigation options for construction and operations.
  • •Provide senior technical review of reports and regulatory submissions, ensuring methods, assumptions, data quality, limitations, and conclusions are documented and defensible.
  • •Manage projects from proposal through closeout by setting scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources, monitoring financial performance, and addressing technical risks and scope changes.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in acoustical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
  • •10+ years of directly relevant experience in environmental noise assessment, including consulting experience and increasing technical leadership responsibility.
  • •Professional designation (or eligibility) required, including registration/eligibility as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
  • •Demonstrated success winning new work or expanding existing client assignments by developing scopes and fees and leading proposals.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in environmental noise prediction and modelling using industry-standard software, with strong judgment on methods, inputs, assumptions, limitations, and interpretation.
