Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive planning, validation, and debug of hardware IP for upcoming AMD APU, CPU, Compute, and Discrete Graphics SoC programs.
  • •Define and execute the functional test plan and end-to-end validation strategy for AMD IPs, documenting and reporting results.
  • •Ensure firmware, BIOS, and software alignment with silicon to enable features and optimize performance and power.
  • •Work cross-functionally with IP/domain architects to identify technical risks/issues and develop architectural solutions.
  • •Enhance IP validation capabilities through automation/tools development, improve methodologies, and debug issues across pre-silicon, bring-up, system validation, and production phases.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majoring in EE, CS, or related field.
  • •Strong systems and SoC architecture foundation with expertise in areas such as CPU/GPU, memory subsystem, fabrics, high-speed I/O, clocks/resets, virtualization, or security.
  • •Experience in digital logic design/verification and post-silicon validation.
  • •Extensive ASIC debug experience and understanding of common high-speed interface protocol and physical-layer behavior.
  • •Strong scripting skills (e.g., Ruby, Python) and hands-on lab equipment experience (e.g., protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
