Job Summary

Drive operational excellence and protect business integrity by planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits. Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, review audit deliverables, document process flows and risk points, and maintain working papers. Collaborate with management across Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Information Systems/Technology, analyze data to recommend process improvements, support remediation, and assist with fraud and acquisition/disposition reviews.

•Assist with development and execution of the annual audit plan.
•Plan and perform risk-based internal audits, including audit program and issuance of internal audit issues and reports.
•Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment and review audit deliverables for quality and accuracy.
•Prepare process flow documentation, identify risk points, and maintain comprehensive working papers to substantiate observations.
•Analyze data for recommended process improvements and support issue remediation with control owners; assist with fraud reviews and regulatory compliance audits as needed.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of Internal Audit experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate industry experience, focused on financial and operational controls.
•Proficiency using analytical tools ACL/Galvanize, Arbutus, and IDEA.
•Ability to create and analyze process flowcharts to identify control weaknesses and process improvement opportunities.
•Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills across all levels of management.
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field) with an Accounting Certificate/qualification meeting California CPA eligibility requirements.
