Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage a team of 10–12 in the Modeling and Simulation group, guiding, coaching, and mentoring members to be future ready.
  • •Select, hire, retain, and develop team members; set short- and long-term team goals aligned to upskilling in digitalization and AI/ML.
  • •Develop stakeholder relationships and meet R/D/E portfolio expectations by assigning the right resources to accelerate product development and improve simulation-driven outcomes (e.g., analysis-first deployment and FPY on tests).
  • •Continuously develop the team’s technical capabilities and provide leadership to mature technologies based on the team technology roadmap and business product strategies; secure funding for modeling and simulation technology development.
  • •Percolate team expertise to new sites/businesses and collaborate with the broader M&S group to drive consistency in simulation approaches.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years with a Master’s degree or 5+ years with a PhD, with extensive Modeling & Simulation experience.
  • •Demonstrated success in talent management, coaching, and capability development, including leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • •Strong expertise in physics-based modeling and simulation across component, subsystem, and system levels, including structural mechanics/dynamics and thermal/flow.
  • •Strong understanding of multiphysics modeling and co-simulation (e.g., structural-electromagnetic, thermo-mechanical, electro-thermal, and fluid-structure interaction).
  • •Proven experience in digital engineering workflows integrating CAD, CAE, optimization, and simulation automation, with working knowledge of AI/ML methods such as surrogate modeling and reduced order models.
