Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead negotiation of customer-facing contractual provisions covering data rights, AI/ML usage, product functionality, and terms of service/disclosures/disclaimers to mitigate litigation and enforcement risk.
  • •Advise on compliance-related legal structures and restrictions, including collaborative practice agreement requirements, management services organization regulatory structure, and fee-splitting/corporate practice of medicine restrictions.
  • •Partner with Compliance and Privacy to provide legal guidance on data privacy, HIPAA, consumer protection, and related risks tied to product design and operations.
  • •Own and maintain terms of service and other member-facing legal documentation, advising on product liability risk and supporting responsible AI governance initiatives.
  • •Monitor legal and regulatory trends and developments across AI/ML in healthcare, FDA requirements, telehealth, Medicare/Medicaid, and data rights; advise on federal/defense government contracting flow-down compliance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 275,000 - 295,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of legal experience in healthcare, digital health, or health technology, including leading teams or workstreams focused on product counseling, commercial transactions, and compliance/enforcement risk.
  • •Experience advising on product development, regulatory submissions, technology-related legal matters, and consumer-facing terms of service and disclosure/risk mitigation strategies.
  • •Strong AI fluency and experience with responsible AI governance principles, healthcare AI regulation, and contractual commitments/negotiations related to AI functionality and data use.
  • •Significant experience with digital health legal issues involving HIPAA, FDA software/software-as-a-medical-device, AI/ML technologies, FTC health data enforcement, and Medicare/Medicaid managed care contracting.
  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school and an active state bar license in good standing.
