Job Summary

Own the accounts and ledgering core of the RCM platform, designing an event-oriented, immutable financial model with derived balances and clear payer/patient semantics. Keep operational balances and reports in lockstep via posting, adjustments, reconciliation, and drift detection across multiple sources of truth. Build scalable, idempotent pipelines on large Postgres data, with observability and incident readiness, while mentoring senior engineers and partnering cross-functionally to protect customer data and meet compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Design the next-generation account and ledger model using immutable events and derived balances, ensuring correct payer/patient/adjustment/cash semantics.
•Keep operational balances and financial reports consistent through posting, adjustments, rollups, drift detection, and self-healing when they disagree.
•Reconcile multiple sources of truth (billed charges, payer remittances, bank deposits, financial reports) and surface discrepancies before customers do.
•Scale idempotent, explainable posting and adjustment pipelines across high transaction volumes using reversal/negation semantics.
•Operate money-critical systems on very large Postgres tables with safe migrations, trigger-driven projections, backfills, observability, and incident response; mentor engineers and run architecture/design reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 210,000 - 275,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years building software with track record of Staff-level work, architecture ownership, mentoring, and cross-team influence.
•Strong backend engineering (Python preferred) and deep experience with relational databases at scale, including query performance, ACID transactions, safe migrations, and data integrity.
•Experience designing or operating financial systems such as payments, billing, reconciliation, accounting, or ledgers (e.g., double-entry accounting, append-only ledgers, idempotency, reversals).
•Have shipped production systems with observability, alerting, and incident response practices for high-stakes workflows.
•Strong communication and collaboration skills, working with ops and customers when correctness matters.
