Job Summary

Lead reliability and safety engineering for aviation systems across Interiors, Landing & Cargo, performing system safety and reliability assessments aligned with standards such as ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882. Execute analyses including FTA, FMEA/FMECA, reliability prediction (MTBF/MTBUR), FHA and common cause analyses, and support RAMS solutions for programs. Collaborate with mechanical and electronics engineering teams, serve as a systems safety architect/customer interface, and mentor teams on methods and tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform reliability and safety assessments per ARP4761 and MIL-STD882, including PSSAs/SSAs, FTA, CMAs, and reliability analyses with FMEA and reliability prediction.
•Provide RAMS analysis solutions for programs and technologies, supporting detailed RAMS analysis with mechanical and electronics engineering teams.
•Conduct reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses to customer specifications, including MTBF/MTBUR and system/component-level prediction and dispatch/mission reliability.
•Perform system safety and failure analyses such as FHA, FTA, common cause analyses, FMEA/FMECA, Single Event Effect (SEE), and fault tolerance analyses for electronics using LTspice and software.
•Serve as a systems safety architect and customer interface to capture, analyze, decompose, translate, and create requirements; mentor teams and lead technical proposal preparation as SME.

Key Requirements

•MEng/MSc or BE in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with 12+ years of relevant experience.
•Significant knowledge of ARP4761 and ARP4754.
•Demonstrated expertise in aircraft or embedded systems.
•Demonstrated expertise with Windchill Quality System and CAFTA.
•Experience with JAMA requirements management software and Confluence; strong communication and technical writing skills.
