Key Responsibilities

  • •Manufacture replacement and prototype parts.
  • •Set up, adjust, and operate large complex machine tools for repairs and production.
  • •Set up and operate 2- and 3-axis CNC lathes and mills, writing and editing CNC programs.
  • •Construct and repair tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures; perform layout and mechanical drawing work using blueprints and instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Fully qualified journeyman machinist, with completion of a company-recognized apprenticeship program or 8 years of verified hands-on machinist experience.
  • •Take the Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS) test and attain a “Recommended” score (unless already performing the job satisfactorily for at least six months).
  • •Demonstrated proficiency on various machine shop equipment.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to work shifts; furnish own tools and complete a satisfactory physical examination.
