Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess Informatica workflows and translate them into equivalent Python EL scripts and dbt transformation models.
  • •Develop and maintain Python EL pipelines for landing high-volume data into the target warehouse using SQLAlchemy and related database tools.
  • •Create dbt models based on Informatica mapping logic, following dbt best practices including macros, incremental strategies, and snapshots.
  • •Build dbt-native tests and custom Python unit tests to validate transformation correctness and data quality.
  • •Orchestrate Python EL and dbt with Airflow DAGs, troubleshoot SIT/UAT performance and discrepancies, and support CI/CD and peer code reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to assess Informatica workflows (sessions, mappings, parameterizations) and translate them into equivalent Python EL scripts and dbt models.
  • •Experience building and maintaining Python EL pipelines for landing high-volume data into a target warehouse using SQLAlchemy and database connectivity tools.
  • •Hands-on design of dbt transformation models using Informatica mapping logic, including model layering, macros, incremental strategies, and snapshot patterns.
  • •Strong testing skills, including dbt-native tests and custom Python unit tests for data quality validation.
  • •Familiarity with Airflow DAG development and end-to-end orchestration, plus GitLab CI/CD contributions for linting, automated testing, and deployment.
