Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement effective policies and procedures across power and desalination plants and monitor daily performance to ensure parameters stay within specified limits.
  • •Coordinate troubleshooting with operations staff, and recommend/follow up acid cleaning, distillate sampling, tube leak interpretation, and operational inspection during annual maintenance.
  • •Improve efficiency by coordinating with shift charge engineer and chief chemist, and implement changes with Operations Manager approval.
  • •Ensure IMS and HSE compliance by implementing IMS objectives, hazard/aspect-impact assessments, reporting performance to management, and managing deviations with corrective and preventive actions.
  • •Support team effectiveness through annual performance evaluation, identifying competency gaps, providing on-the-job training, reporting emergencies/incidents/near misses, and effective resource utilization.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Engineering or post graduate engineering with power plant engineering is must.
  • •4–8 years of power/desalination/RO plant experience in Middle East.
  • •Working knowledge of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management System principles.
  • •Ability to conduct hazard risk/aspect-impact assessments and apply applicable legal requirements.
  • •Knowledge of power/desalination/RO operational activities and efficiency calculations, plus analytical and problem-solving skills.
