Key Responsibilities

•Provide 24x7x365 production support for North Front End Host Data Capture applications, including research, investigation, fixes, reporting, and implementation.
•Conduct long-term application improvements to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
•Design, code, test, and debug software using Mainframe COBOL, JCL, DB2, and TCP/IP on IBM Mainframe for high transaction volume applications.
•Create and review design documentation with stakeholders, and collaborate with the test team to ensure proper testing of changes.
•Use Jira and ServiceNow to track changes and create Change Records/Incidents; peer review code changes and coordinate implementation plans with the team.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of experience with COBOL, CICS, TCP/IP, and Mainframe.
•4+ years covering full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
•4+ years of experience with technical design writing and documentation.
•2+ years working with SQL and DB2 databases.
•1+ year using GenAI assistants or LLM developer tools in daily development activities.
