Job Summary

Lead Civil & Structures projects for the Railway industry, with a focus on UK/AU design experience. You’ll review detailed designs and calculations, deliver concept and feasibility studies through detailed design, and develop level crossing ground plans and cable trough management (CSR) alongside lineside ancillary civils deliverables. Manage integration with other rail disciplines, monitor drawings for quality, and mentor junior engineers and BIM modellers while maintaining budget and programme.

Key Responsibilities

•Check and review detailed designs and calculations.
•Undertake concept design, feasibility studies, and detailed design as required.
•Lead technicians/BIM modellers developing level crossing ground plans, cable trough management (CSR) systems, and lineside structures deliverables.
•Manage integration and coordination of CSR systems with other rail disciplines.
•Maintain budget and programme, monitor drawings for quality and accuracy, and mentor junior engineers/BIM technicians.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Masters in Structural Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
•12+ years’ experience in Rail infrastructure.
•Current competencies with relevant Rail Authorities (e.g., VLine, Network Rail, MTM).
•Deep understanding of CSR systems and their role in rail operations.
•Ability to build strong working relationships and work independently as well as in a team environment.
