Job Summary

Operate and support a vacuum atomization furnace in a manufacturing setting, performing setup, maintenance, and process improvements under supervision. Handle hoisting, rigging, and powered vehicles; assist in furnace lid/coil changes, gas/electric/water line work, and atomization adjustments. Contribute to CORE/EH&S initiatives while complying with PPE and safety standards on a Monday-Thursday 4x10 shift in Clayville, NY.

Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Perform cleaning, monitoring and securing operations to assist in the set-up of a vacuum atomization furnace.
•Basic hoist and rigging operations; operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs).
•Assist in the removal and replacement furnace lid and coils; disassembly/reassembly of atomization chamber during alloy changes.
•Maintain interior of furnace chamber and seal; attach/detach gas, electric, and water lines to furnace lid and tank; operate insertion and halo gas during atomization.
•Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives; wear PPE and refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
