Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the subject matter expert and program lead for one or more process safety programs (e.g., facility siting, equipment spacing, MOC, PSSR, PHA, RMP submissions).
  • •Facilitate PHAs for projects and operating facilities, and train and certify personnel to facilitate one-node PHAs.
  • •Support internal/external process safety audits, assessments, and regulatory inspections, including incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • •Provide guidance to operations teams on OSHA PSM and EPA RMP applicability and compliance requirements.
  • •Monitor regulatory developments, evaluate proposed rule changes, and improve process safety programs, tools, and work processes, including emerging technologies and AI.

Key Requirements

  • •Earn a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field (or Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license) and have 8+ years of multifaceted engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industries (Sr).
  • •For the Staff level, have a Bachelor’s degree (or Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license) and 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industries.
  • •Strong working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Program (40 CFR Part 68) regulations.
  • •Working knowledge of DOT Parts 192, 193, and 195 and understanding how process safety requirements apply across operations.
  • •Experience facilitating PHAs for operating facilities and capital projects.
