Job Summary

Lead mechanical design and product integration with Dyson internal teams and JDM partners, ensuring high-quality, timely, cost-effective delivery. You’ll drive requirements management, planning/reporting, design reviews and issue management, plus build and test evaluation. Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with Dyson internal teams and JDM partners to ensure successful delivery of mechanical designs and product integration.
•Promote requirements management practices, contribute to design requirements, and ensure JDM correctly interpret and implement requirements throughout development.
•Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies; plan, align, monitor, and report progress; and manage scope changes with justified resource/schedule proposals.
•Oversee JDM mechanical design solutions (including integration of electrical parts), drive design reviews and issue management, and ensure compliance with Dyson quality standards.
•Provide technical guidance for test planning and methods, drive execution and reporting of testing, evaluate build/test outputs against requirements, assess design maturity, and support change/part approvals and JDM capability engagement (RFI/RFP/SOW).

Key Requirements

•A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
•Strong understanding of product development methodology, including scoping work and decomposing complex problems into tasks.
•Strong knowledge and application of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, and Risk Management in product development.
•Experience developing robust engineering solutions from concept to market launch, including manufacturing and assembly techniques (e.g., plastic injection molding, metal stamping, die-casting, rubber parts) and working knowledge of motor and pump.
•Practical knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM systems, and analysis packages, with the ability to estimate costs of design options and select cost-effective directions.
