Job Summary

Manage and originate non-owner-occupied commercial real estate (CRE) loans, including construction, interim, permanent, and refinancing, while meeting production goals for both new loan originations and deposits. Underwrite collateral properties and guarantors, structure loans, prepare approval packages, and coordinate loan negotiations and documentation. Oversee a CRE loan portfolio with construction draw reviews and covenant monitoring, prepare renewals and modifications, and mentor junior CRE lenders as needed.

•Serve as a market expert on CRE loans.
•Generate new CRE loan and cross-sell opportunities by underwriting collateral and guarantor, structuring loans, and preparing approval packages for loan committee.
•Negotiate and document loans in coordination with the Loan Closing Coordinator and outside legal counsel (as applicable).
•Oversee a portfolio of CRE loans, including reviewing construction draw requests, monitoring collateral performance vs. covenants and appraisal assumptions, and recommending risk rating adjustments.
•Prepare renewals, modifications, and annual reviews; mentor junior CRE lender(s) and represent UMB as a senior CRE lender in the market.
