Job Summary

Senior Cost Manager responsible for delivering end-to-end cost management on large-scale infrastructure projects, across highways, rail and power sectors. Leads cost planning, procurement, risk management and final accounts within a collaborative Buildings & Places team, while building strong client relationships and driving technical excellence to uphold premium service standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion, including feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, risk management, dispute resolution, post contract management and final accounts.
•Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and demonstrate this ability in dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the firm’s profile.
•Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication and use of performance management processes and technical practice networks.
•Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, upholding and increasing the firm’s profile as a provider of premium services.
•Actively support the internal team and mentor more junior staff.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
•Accredited MRICS (or working towards membership).
•Experience and track record in Cost Management/Quantity Surveying on large-scale infrastructure projects.
•Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, particularly PSC and ECC.
•Experience of cost/commercial management within integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
