Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in managing or manage vendors for bidding, design, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, start-up, and commissioning of ride/show systems.
  • •Provide day-to-day technical guidance and vendor management for design, fabrication, installation, testing/adjusting, and commissioning activities.
  • •Translate creative intent and business goals into technical documents used to acquire bids and lock price and schedule for system delivery.
  • •Perform engineering technical support (calculation, design, drafting, research) for the ride/show project team or overall Engineering and Safety.
  • •Review and develop test protocols, procedures, and plans; execute witness or approve testing and results as authorized; participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field (e.g., robotics, mechatronics, mechanical/electrical engineering, computer science) or equivalent skill and experience.
  • •Experience in theme park-specific technical/engineering roles supporting special effects and animated figure equipment (e.g., animated figure systems, prop systems, soft robotics, puppets) or related technical fields.
  • •Projects experience in the scenic/entertainment/theme park industry; theme park development, construction, show/ride system design or fabrication is preferred.
  • •Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical/diagram form and work with abstract and concrete variables.
  • •Ability to organize and manage complex series of tasks and vendors, with schedule analysis and contract management skills.
