Job Summary

Repair and maintain diesel-powered mobile equipment at multiple concrete ready mix plants across the Lafayette/Lake Charles area. Diagnose truck malfunctions using diagnostic software, perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to electrical, transmissions, brakes, and drivelines, and handle welding and fabrication. Maintain parts inventory, complete service data entry, support shop safety procedures, and provide technical guidance to drivers and equipment operators under direction of the Equipment Manager.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform repairs on mobile equipment including ready mix trucks, front end loaders, and trailers under direction of the Equipment Manager.
•Use diagnostic software and observation/listening to determine malfunctions and complete advanced troubleshooting.
•Read manuals and use hand/power tools to repair and maintain diesel engine and automotive systems.
•Perform welding, repair, and fabrication; replace rollers and other wear items as required.
•Maintain parts inventory and complete data entry for all services performed, following safety policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
•Minimum 2 years of mobile equipment maintenance experience; ready mix maintenance experience preferred.
•Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic software and read manuals for repairs.
•Experience using hand and power tools to repair electrical systems, power transmissions, brakes, and drivelines.
•Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a safe driving record; trade school or related mechanical/technical certification preferred.
