Job Summary

Develop technically competent geotechnical reports and deliver project work by coordinating with specialists and clients across sectors. Assist with managing team resources and support all aspects of project delivery, including client liaison, consultants/contractors, public and statutory body consultation, and quality control. Apply geotechnical engineering expertise to retaining walls, foundations, and slope stabilization designs, including ground investigations, report checking, and compliance with Eurocode 7 standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop professional, technically competent geotechnical reports and liaise with specialists and clients across sectors.
•Effectively manage and deliver project work, including support for client liaison and coordination with contractors and sub-consultants.
•Assist in managing team resources and allocating appropriate project resources.
•Support project delivery activities including public and statutory body consultation and quality control/management of specialists.
•Undertake and manage geotechnical desk studies and ground investigations (GIs), and check ground investigation and geotechnical design reports in line with Eurocode 7 : Part 1.

Key Requirements

•Technical expertise in geotechnical engineering with a demonstrable understanding of underlying principles.
•Design skills for retaining walls, foundations, and slope stabilization solutions.
•Experience delivering geotechnical projects, including preparing high-technical-level reports.
•Working knowledge of Eurocode 7 and UK annex design codes, ground investigation, and construction contracts/specifications, including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges CD622 and CS641.
•Ability to interrogate geotechnical software used for civil engineering designs such as deep/shallow foundations, retaining walls, earthworks/slope stability, and reinforced earthworks.
