Job Summary

Deliver wastewater-focused civil engineering projects within a Water Team, supporting multi-disciplinary work from inception through delivery. Collaborate with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists, and technical specialists across UK and overseas programs for clients including Wessex Water, South West Water, Southern Water, and Thames Water. Produce feasibility studies, designs, reports, and technical specifications, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and mentor junior engineers while shaping high-quality outcomes for communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists, and technical specialists to deliver projects in the UK and overseas, liaising with clients on scope, proposals, and progress.
•Produce feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed designs, reports, and technical specifications.
•Ensure design compliance with applicable standards and regulations and provide technical expertise for interdisciplinary analytical studies.
•Mentor junior team members and contribute to their technical development as engineers.
•Deliver multi-disciplinary projects from inception to delivery, creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities.

Key Requirements

•Degree (or demonstratable equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering.
•Proven experience within the water sector at senior level.
•Chartered/Incorporated or working towards chartered status with a relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.
•Experience undertaking engineering assessments, options appraisals, engineering calculations and/or economic appraisals.
•Experience of outline and/or detailed design, preferably for wastewater or water treatment schemes or flood risk management, assessment, or drainage schemes.
