Job Summary

Lead day-to-day operations for multiple Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) field crews, ensuring safety and quality standards while keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Manage field crew scheduling across diverse projects and locations, interpret utility drawings and GIS records, and oversee utility records request processing. Use geophysical and surveying tools (e.g., GPR, GPS, Total Station, Trimble systems) to locate utilities and perform QA/QC, advising junior staff as needed.

•Ensure field teams follow AECOM safety and quality guidelines.
•Create and maintain field crew schedules across multiple projects and locations.
•Interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS files, and other utility records to locate underground utilities.
•Perform SUE field audits, QA/QC of SUE field data (including subcontractors), and troubleshoot technical issues in the field.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 85,000 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BS degree plus 4 years of experience (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
•SUE and/or private utility locating experience with commitment to quality and attention to detail.
•Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 and 38-22.
•Frequent travel to field locations, including overnight travel, plus frequent outdoor work and daily walking several miles.
•Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
