Job Summary

Own product costing and BOM integrity for the Energy & Communications business, partnering with plant and operations leadership to ensure accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, and strong cost controls. Maintain moving average cost methodology, analyze manufacturing variances and trends, support inventory management and internal controls, and help drive cost reporting through monthly/quarterly/annual close. Contribute to process improvements and scalable cost accounting across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Own product costing and BOM integrity (materials, labor, overhead) and partner with operations and engineering on cost impacts of design/process changes.
•Maintain moving average cost methodology to support accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
•Establish and maintain standard labor and overhead rates with plant leadership.
•Analyze manufacturing variances to identify root causes, trends, and improvement opportunities.
•Support inventory management and internal controls (cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory valuation) and participate in close processes for accurate cost and profitability reporting.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•3+ years of relevant cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
•Strong experience with standard costing, BOMs, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variances.
•Experience with complex ERP systems required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
•Advanced Excel skills required; experience with SQL, MS Query, or VBA is a plus.
