Job Summary

Operate as a Bench Mechanic on 2nd shift, following verbal, written, or computer-generated instructions to perform pre- and post-coating tasks for aerospace engine components. Prepare surfaces, remove masking, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and make minor repairs where applicable. Perform deburring, grinding, drilling, and related operations, conduct preventive maintenance, and verify parts to visual and dimensional requirements using precision measuring tools. Handle multiple priorities and work flexible shifts with overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform pre-coating operations including surface preparation and masking duties
•Complete post-coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures and removing masking
•Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning equipment and perform minor repairs on coating equipment when applicable
•Perform deburring, blending, polishing, countersinking, grinding, drilling, and grit blast operations on aerospace engine components
•Check parts against visual and dimensional requirements using precision measuring equipment and support quality requirements

Key Requirements

•0-1 years of related experience (or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary/vocational school in a related field)

•Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding (preferred)
•Experience with computerized machine operation (preferred)
•Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and work flexible shifts, including overtime
