Key Responsibilities

•Run the engineering org day-to-day, reporting to the engineering leader in a fast-moving, timeline-driven environment.
•Own delivery across all squads, ensuring both timelines and quality without trade-offs.
•Drive weekly operating rhythm with Friday demos of working software.
•Lead tech standards, hire and set the bar via a managed funnel, and translate business requirements into technical scope.
•Manage cross-squad dependencies and provide an escalation path for blocked work while re-planning quickly as priorities shift.

Key Requirements

•10+ years engineering leadership in SaaS or platform companies, including scaling an org from <10 to >30 IC engineers, ideally in a startup/speed environment.
•Delivery-first track record shipping on aggressive timelines at weekly cadence without sacrificing quality.
•Hands-on ability to read Go, Python, and TypeScript and call out architecture in review.
•Strong working knowledge of the modern AI stack, including LLMs, SLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, agents, fine-tuning/training, and eval.
•Ability to capture business requirements from executives and customers and translate them into technical needs the squads can execute.
