Job Summary

Assist the Chief Engineer in executing the maintenance schedule and spare-parts requirements for dredging fleet vessels. Support safe, optimal vessel performance by operating and maintaining the engine room, performing basic and instant repairs, and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements. Monitor equipment performance, record planned/unplanned maintenance in Oracle work orders, and prepare daily/weekly/monthly dredger reports, including watch keeping day and night.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Chief Engineer in implementing the maintenance schedule and spare parts requirements.
•Ensure optimal and safe vessel performance by operating and maintaining the engine room, including during night shift.
•Provide guidance for basic and instant repairs onboard and input on day-to-day equipment performance.
•Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, identify hazards, and coordinate rectification actions.
•Record maintenance activities in Oracle work orders and close them correctly; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and communicate with concerned teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical engineering.
•Minimum 5 years' experience as W/K Engineer onboard dredgers.
•Experience executing maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements per technical specifications.
•Ability to operate and maintain the engine room effectively, including responsibility during night shift.
•Knowledge of HSE requirements and experience supporting QA/QC and HSE reporting/recommendations.
