Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, and air conditioning.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document work and findings on repair orders (RO), upload pictures using an iOS device and TRAIT application, and complete DOT and other required forms in a timely manner.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience (or alternate combinations such as 5 years’ related experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
  • •Possess and supply required DOT-related compliance: pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card meeting the stated validity).
  • •Hold and supply required certifications or obtain within 18 months (ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609), and be a safe driver with a valid driver’s license.
