Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform reviews of manufacturing and test procedures and draft job hazard assessments (JHAs) to define hazard controls prior to work execution.
  • •Establish preventative maintenance procedures for safety-critical equipment (air monitoring devices, fall protection, respirators, etc.) and calibrate/service EHS instrumentation.
  • •Maintain records for industrial hygiene studies/remediation sampling, employee training, and work permits.
  • •Conduct safety inspections, address deficiencies, and perform incident investigations with recommendations for corrective action.
  • •Facilitate classroom safety trainings, review lockout/tagout procedures, monitor safety equipment inventories (including PPE), and support emergency response planning and environmental compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree; or high school diploma (or equivalency) with 4+ years implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.
  • •Ability to review manufacturing and test procedures and draft job hazard assessments (JHAs) to define hazard controls prior to work execution.
  • •Ability to qualify PPE requirements through hazard analysis and review of consensus agency standards (e.g., NIOSH/ANSI).
  • •Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
  • •Ability to pass relevant USCG examinations, federal facility background checks, re-certifications, and chemical testing; position is subject to drug testing.
