Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver the full range of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at military installations.
  • •Provide education and counseling, including one-on-one sessions, consultations, and briefings/presentations, plus referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle and in response to requested age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Work with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure the program stays within scope and meets installation needs.
  • •Provide virtual counseling/secure electronic communications when authorized, and manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years’ experience, or a high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) process.
  • •Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
