Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide site-based input throughout the full project lifecycle to support safe, efficient, compliant delivery and commissioning.
  • •Support pre-construction and tender stages by contributing to reference design input and assisting in assessment of submissions.
  • •Oversee construction inputs across planning, execution, and completion, ensuring delivery on time and to specifications.
  • •Promote and enforce safety culture through regular meetings, timely resolution of safety concerns, and SMART/Topical Assurance safety tours recorded in the Safety Management System.
  • •Act as primary contractor liaison, coordinate across functions for resource allocation, implement Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) processes, and provide accurate progress updates and reports.

Key Requirements

  • •An Irish National Framework Qualification Level 8 (Honours Degree) or higher in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or an equivalent degree recognized by the Washington Accord).
  • •3+ years’ experience in construction.
  • •Experience in engineering/management on large-scale multidisciplinary railway or similar infrastructure projects.
  • •Knowledge and experience of construction contracts.
  • •MIEI, MCIOB or MICE (or equivalent/working towards).
