Job Summary

Join the Timaru team to deliver water infrastructure for South Canterbury communities. You’ll manage and deliver water engineering projects, coordinate activities and budgets, and develop practical solutions through investigations, inspections, analysis, and detailed design across water, wastewater, and stormwater. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation, support construction supervision, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create tangible client and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage and deliver water engineering projects to meet technical quality, program, budget, and client satisfaction objectives.
•Coordinate project activities, monitor financial performance, and contribute to project reporting and invoicing.
•Undertake investigations, inspections, analysis and design to develop effective solutions for water infrastructure challenges.
•Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, schedules of quantities, and contract documentation for construction projects.
•Complete detailed design across water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure and assist with supervision/monitoring of construction works.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering.
•Ideally 5+ years of professional experience in a water engineering discipline.
•Experience in planning, design and delivery of water infrastructure projects.
•Strong understanding of engineering design principles, technical standards and industry best practice.
•Experience preparing technical reports, specifications and construction documentation (including familiarity with Civil 3D or similar tools).
