Job Summary

Own customer-facing delivery of Apache Airflow implementations as part of the Global Services Delivery Team. You’ll deepen your expertise in both Apache Airflow and the Astronomer managed platform, guide customers on Airflow best practices, and help architect data pipelines across varied environments. Collaborate on engineering solutions, assess and refactor Airflow code, and review/optimize workflows and configurations to improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver Apache Airflow solutions post-sales, helping ensure successful implementations for customers and partners.
•Educate and guide customers on Airflow best practices and perform Airflow code refactoring assessments.
•Architect data pipelines across environments and use cases, using expertise in Apache Airflow and the Astronomer managed platform.
•Collaborate to design, prototype, and implement engineering solutions for internal and external use.
•Review and optimize customer data workflows and Airflow system configurations to improve performance.

Key Requirements

•3-5 years of data-engineering experience, ideally with Apache Airflow in production environments.
•Experience creating DAGs, writing Python, and building Airflow custom operators and hooks.
•Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline implementation, including data transformations, optimization, and monitoring data pipelines.
•Experience with analytics/data platform tools such as Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
•Strong communication skills for customer-facing work across channels (e.g., slack, email, knowledge transfer, pair programming).
