Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and develop technically complex patterns for soft-sewn garments from sketches, blocks, draped concepts, reference pieces, and creative direction.
  • •Translate design vision into technically resolved garments while protecting silhouette, volume, balance, movement, and styling.
  • •Lead assigned styles through pattern development, toile, fittings, amendments, and final resolution, identifying and addressing technical, fit, or fabrication risks.
  • •Apply advanced draping, bias cutting, soft construction, and garment-engineering techniques for delicate, fluid, and technically challenging fabrics.
  • •Partner with Design, product development, atelier management, seamstresses, and pattern cutters to deliver exceptional craftsmanship and share specialist knowledge.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep practical expertise in soft-garment pattern cutting, draping, and construction within a luxury atelier or comparable high-end fashion environment.
  • •Strong understanding of fit, proportion, balance, body movement, and how fabric and construction affect final garment behaviour.
  • •Experience working with delicate or technically challenging materials, including lightweight, fluid, transparent, or bias-cut fabrics.
  • •Ability to interpret complex creative concepts and develop precise technical solutions while preserving the original design vision.
  • •Collaborative, solutions-focused approach to manage priorities and communicate technical risks during fittings.
