Key Responsibilities

  • •Design electrical power distribution and control systems for safe, reliable industrial operations.
  • •Conduct power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash) using ETAP or EasyPower.
  • •Deliver electrical systems design across power distribution, motor control, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection.
  • •Prepare specifications and data sheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and associated equipment.
  • •Oversee engineering calculations and verify design accuracy through field reviews and site evaluations; mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting heavy industrial facilities.
  • •Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario; additional jurisdictions considered an asset.
  • •Strong understanding of CSA, ANSI, IEEE, building codes, and other relevant standards.
  • •Proficiency in power system modelling tools; familiarity with instrumentation, automation, and control systems.
  • •Experience working in industrial environments such as mines, mills, refineries, ports, or material-handling facilities.
