Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate asphalt plant controls to weigh and deliver specified quantities of aggregates and asphalt cement to the dryer and mixer for loading into trucks.
  • •Perform pre-shift inspection of the plant and safety items to ensure operational order.
  • •Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • •Maintain proper dryer heat using thermostatic controls and monitor gauges/dials to ensure processing specifications are met.
  • •Answer telephone/radio, take and input orders, and assist with plant maintenance, reports, end-of-shift inspections, greasing, and cleanup.
