Job Summary

Operate asphalt plant controls to weigh and deliver aggregates and asphalt cement for heating, mixing, and loading into trucks. Key Responsibilities

•Operate asphalt plant controls to weigh and deliver specified quantities of aggregates and asphalt cement to the dryer and mixer for loading into trucks.
•Perform pre-shift inspection of the plant and safety items to ensure operational order.
•Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
•Maintain proper dryer heat using thermostatic controls and monitor gauges/dials to ensure processing specifications are met.
•Answer telephone/radio, take and input orders, and assist with plant maintenance, reports, end-of-shift inspections, greasing, and cleanup.

Key Requirements

•High school education or GED preferred but not required.
