Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electronic systems (e.g., electrical/brake/cooling, alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials).
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems (e.g., brakes, air lines, liftgates, brake chambers, welding/fabrication, panel/body/framework replacement).
  • •Inspect, road test, and use test instruments to diagnose malfunctions; manage parts inventory and reconcile equipment on the service truck.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, document work and upload pictures using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application, and operate in compliance with safety/regulatory policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education/certifications and experience).
  • •Supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen months.
  • •Pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and have a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with a 3-year MVR review; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
