Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and execution of bioinformatics analyses on large-scale human genomic datasets, including WGS data.
  • •Perform genomic analyses such as variant discovery, genotype-phenotype analysis, population genetics, association studies, and rare/ancestry-aware analyses.
  • •Assess data quality, analytical assumptions, biases, and limitations to ensure rigor, reproducibility, and scientific integrity.
  • •Develop, optimize, and implement bioinformatics workflows, pipelines, and analytical methodologies.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver research objectives and contribute to publications, while communicating methods, results, risks, and recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Bioinformatics, Human Genetics, Genomics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • •Extensive experience in human genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or biomedical data science.
  • •Proven ability to independently lead complex genomic analysis projects.
  • •Experience working with large-scale genomic datasets and whole genome sequencing (WGS) data.
  • •Strong proficiency in Python and/or R, plus hands-on experience with bioinformatics tools such as PLINK, REGENIE, bcftools, and VCFtools.
