Job Summary

Support Collins’ communication, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) avionics products by owning complex electrical hardware challenges across sustaining engineering and new design. Interpret and update schematics, board layouts, and drawings; develop and manage hardware requirement changes and baselines; design, test, qualify, integrate, and document high-complexity hardware. Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams, support production troubleshooting, and contribute to estimates, obsolescence resolution, and defect root-cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities

•Interpret, generate, and update complex electrical schematics, board layouts, and mechanical drawings.
•Develop and document hardware requirement changes while managing hardware baselines through proper tools and processes.
•Design, analyze, test, qualify, integrate, and document high-complexity hardware across multiple Engineering Change Orders.
•Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing engineering to ensure cohesive product development.
•Support production teams, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical leadership as needed, including defect trend review and root-cause recommendations.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.

•Experience with embedded processors and RF systems, including hands-on debugging and testing of complex electrical hardware.
