Job Summary

Lead integration of thin-film photovoltaic module technology to ensure performance and reliability. Drive technology transfer from advanced research demonstrations to deployment in a production pilot line, coordinating cross-functional efforts across research, process/equipment engineering, quality, reliability, and manufacturing. Manage and motivate a cross-functional team of engineers, planning experiments, overseeing process control strategy and optimization, and using data analysis to identify mechanisms and root causes of failures.

•Integrate thin-film photovoltaic module technology to ensure performance and reliability.
•Drive technology roadmap projects by coordinating advanced research, coupon pilot line, process and equipment engineering, quality/reliability, and manufacturing.
•Matrix-manage a cross-functional team of engineers, setting quantifiable objectives for individuals and the team.
•Plan and prioritize production-line experiments, manage WIP allocation, and oversee experiment planning based on risks, scope, and timelines.
•Integrate failure analysis, material/device characteristics, and process data to determine failure mechanisms and root causes; own process control strategy and optimization.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 131,200 - 187,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Science.
•Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in process integration, process development, or reliability testing.
•Experience in PV or semiconductor/thin-film/electronics-related industries, including thin film deposition and thermal processes with process control.
•Strong statistical process optimization and data analysis skills (Multivariate Analysis, Regression Analysis, DOE) and experience with statistical software (JMP preferred).
•Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including Root Cause Analysis, and experience with processes control strategy development, implementation, and optimization.
