Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and evolve Gymshark’s spatial design language (materials palettes, fixture families, spatial principles, experiential standards) as a scalable system across stores, formats, and geographies.
  • •Raise and protect the craft standard across physical environments, ensuring quality from first concept through build.
  • •Lead complex spatial projects from early planning and concept to build-ready documentation, producing layouts and material specifications for architects, shopfitters, and contractors.
  • •Translate creative intent into requirements that hold up under commercial and operational pressure throughout delivery.
  • •Line manage and develop spatial designers through regular feedback, critique, and the craft standard set in your own work.

Key Requirements

  • •A background in interior design, architecture, spatial design, or a related discipline.
  • •Significant spatial design experience with a portfolio showing genuine craft and strong conceptual thinking, including designing scalable spatial languages.
  • •Deep expertise in store planning, layout, zoning, and circulation, balancing experiential and commercial outcomes.
  • •Advanced knowledge of materials, finishes, and fixture families, including curating brand-expressive palettes that perform well in retail and age appropriately.
  • •Advanced CAD and 3D visualisation skills to produce detailed specifications and build-ready documentation contractors and shopfitters can use.
