Lead and execute R&D for next-generation PVD (physical vapor deposition) chamber technologies. Define experiments and diagnostics to isolate plasma, electromagnetic, thermal, and pressure-driven mechanisms in complex, coupled environments, then oversee system and module designs through reviews and qualifications. Drive root-cause analysis for non-intuitive process behavior, mentor physicist/scientist teams, and partner with internal groups, customers, universities, and consortia to advance manufacturable performance limits.
