Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute Snorkel’s security strategy, goals, and roadmap across infrastructure, application security, and GRC.
  • •Build, hire, and lead the security organization; establish security metrics, reporting, and an incident/risk operating cadence.
  • •Own cloud security architecture and posture across AWS (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, landing zone design), including detection/response and vulnerability management programs.
  • •Embed security into product development via secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, and AppSec tooling (SAST/DAST/SCA, pen testing, bug bounty).
  • •Build and run compliance and enterprise risk practices (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), and act as the security point of contact for customer reviews and audits.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in technology security with director-level or above scope.
  • •Proven track record building and scaling a security function from founding stage (~1) to a mature org (10–30+).
  • •Deep expertise across infrastructure/cloud security (AWS, IAM, network security, encryption) and application security integrated into the SDLC.
  • •Hands-on familiarity with modern security tooling (SIEM, EDR, CSPM, vulnerability management).
