Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems (including brakes/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, transmissions, clutches, and differentials).
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using appropriate instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete repair documentation and DOT forms in a timely manner and maintain compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a current DOT medical card with >4 months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; must obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
