Key Responsibilities

•Oversee junior engineers on mid- to large-size rail projects as part of a design team
•Apply knowledge of rail design, operations, and construction to overhead catenary systems, traction power substations, signals and communications, and track layout
•Develop overhead catenary system layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications
•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing overhead catenary systems
•Provide instruction, management, and oversight to junior engineers to develop OCS capabilities

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS Engineering or related field and 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•Experience in the design and analysis of overhead electrification systems, including a variety of project scopes and design phases ranging from preliminary design through construction
•Experience designing and implementing overhead system types including auto-tensioned and fixed termination systems, simple catenary and single contact wire/trolley wire, and both AC and DC systems
•Experience utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation into the design of electrification systems
•Knowledge of design software packages such as STAAD, LPile and MathCAD
