Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead complex powertrain field quality investigations across electric drive units, traction motors, inverters, gearboxes, high-voltage interfaces, embedded controls, and related vehicle systems to reach validated technical conclusions.
  • •Set the technical standard for evidence-based root cause analysis and define when conclusions, test results, or corrective action plans are complete enough for closure.
  • •Define and drive permanent corrective and preventive actions across design, software, calibration, manufacturing, supplier quality, diagnostics, and service, ensuring interim containment doesn’t replace long-term fixes.
  • •Prioritize fleet risks by using warranty claims, diagnostic data, telematics, vehicle logs, service repairs, parts returns, and customer feedback to quantify exposure and determine escalation.
  • •Establish validation plans and acceptance criteria (test conditions, samples, monitoring periods) to confirm corrective actions reduce recurrence and integrate field learning into engineering requirements and standards.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in battery-electric vehicle powertrain engineering, field quality, product quality, reliability, validation engineering, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or a related discipline.
  • •BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •Experience investigating and resolving customer-facing EV powertrain concerns using objective evidence, vehicle data, component analysis, and structured problem-solving.
  • •Experience leading cross-functional technical investigations and driving corrective actions through validated implementation.
  • •Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform essential duties and communicate work instructions and safety procedures.
