Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the Brightlayer Edge technology roadmap aligned with Eaton’s digital and hardware product strategies.
  • •Define which capabilities run at the edge vs. software/cloud and establish a POV across use cases.
  • •Define and evolve core Brightlayer Edge capabilities, including connectivity/protocols, secure onboarding and lifecycle management, local data processing, edge analytics, and edge AI/ML inference where appropriate.
  • •Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to translate product strategy into reference architectures and platform components, ensuring OT reliability, latency, and security requirements.
  • •Act as single owner for edge capabilities used across multiple Eaton businesses and translate customer/field feedback into edge requirements; own epics/backlogs and track success metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in product management, platform strategy, or systems engineering.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Proven experience delivering connected products, embedded systems, or edge platforms in industrial or infrastructure environments.
  • •Strong understanding of edge computing, device-to-cloud architectures, and industrial communication protocols.
  • •Technical fluency and credibility working with engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity teams.
