Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop technical scopes of work and equipment bid specifications, evaluate proposals, and provide engineering support for compression projects.
  • •Size and select compression equipment to optimize performance and long-term reliability.
  • •Provide technical oversight into the design and sizing of fuel gas systems and compression station components, including valves, actuators, regulators, relief valves, control valves, and related equipment.
  • •Establish vendor relationships and develop/maintain company engineering standards and material specifications.
  • •Support field execution by answering RFIs and providing technical guidance during construction and commissioning, while collaborating with internal teams to maintain infrastructure integrity.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum five years post-degree practical experience designing and analyzing high-pressure natural gas compressor systems.
  • •Understanding of core thermodynamic principles and specific knowledge of natural gas compression equipment and mechanical design of compressor systems.
  • •Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards including 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME, as well as API, NACE, NEC, and OSHA.
  • •Proficiency with Word and Excel and ability to read/interpret mechanical, civil/structural, and electrical schematics and drawings.
  • •Ability to complete work with little supervision, prioritize across multiple projects, communicate effectively, and travel with overnight stays as required.
