Key Responsibilities

•Lead end-to-end design, analysis, and validation of mechanical products and sub-assemblies from concept to mass production at the Miamisburg facility.
•Own manufacturing data package delivery and assembly drawing creation with flawless documentation.
•Provide daily technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less-experienced mechanical engineers and balance milestones across concurrent projects.
•Establish and apply mechanical engineering best practices and innovations, including recommendations for mechanical capital equipment purchases.
•Oversee complex mechanical simulations (thermal flow, strain/stress, FEA, torque analysis), lead design reviews, and communicate status, architecture decisions, and risks cross-functionally.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum) plus at least 6 years of professional experience as a technical subject matter expert, lead engineer, or technical mentor.
•Advanced mechanical design and 3D modeling experience using Solidworks (Pro/E considered a plus).
•Experience designing parts for injection molding, including material selection and creating assembly and detail drawings with dimension/tolerance expertise.
•Ability to solve complex problems independently and contribute technically creative, high-performance, economical mechanical solutions.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills, with occasional travel requirements and the ability to influence technical direction.
