Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate CNC waterjet cutting machines according to work instructions and safety procedures.
  • •Set up materials, fixtures, and cutting tables; load and verify CNC programs and nesting layouts using OMAX Intelli-MAX, Layout, and Make.
  • •Monitor machine performance during cutting, make minor adjustments, and perform routine preventive maintenance (e.g., cleaning tanks, replacing nozzles/orifices, supporting pump maintenance).
  • •Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards; maintain production records and material traceability documentation.
  • •Read and interpret blueprints/drawings/work orders/CAD files and report equipment issues, material defects, or quality concerns while following safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •0-2 years of manufacturing, fabrication, or CNC machine operation experience; 1+ years operating CNC waterjet equipment is preferred.
  • •Hands-on experience with OMAX waterjet systems, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • •Experience using OMAX Intelli-MAX software, Layout, and Make for program creation, nesting, and machine operation.
  • •Ability to select and adjust cutting parameters across a range of materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, plastics, composites, rubber, glass, stone).
  • •Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD-generated files, and part prints; high school diploma or GED; ability to use measuring tools.
