Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide best-practice mining engineering services and support the mine’s Zero Harm safety approach and compliance requirements.
  • •Coordinate mine planning (weekly, short-range, monthly, 5-year and business planning) and run production review meetings.
  • •Monitor, analyse, report mine performance, and manage related projects.
  • •Support technical areas including ventilation, gas management, mine planning, and technical projects.
  • •Lead the permit to mine process to ensure technical aspects are addressed for continuity to production.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified Mining Engineer (or equivalent).
  • •Detailed understanding of coal mining processes.
  • •Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and how to apply it.
  • •High level planning and problem-solving ability.
  • •Previous experience within underground mining operations (preferably coal) and mine planning tools (e.g., XPAC, IntelliCAD, AutoCAD, Mine Planner, Deswik).
